Polar Bear Plunge
Sun, Feb 1, 2015

On February 1, 2015, the Lewes Department assisted the Rehoboth Beach VFC by taking  Marine 82-1 to Rehoboth to assist them with the Polar Bear Plunge. Five members from the Lewes Fire Department and one member from Memorial Fire Company traveled from Lewes to the area of Rehoboth Ave to standby for any problems encountered during the Plunge. Two members also took the opportunity to train operating Marine 82-1. Marine 82-1 stoodby before te plunge and until after everyone had cleared the water. We then returned to Lewes without incident.
