Gas leak resulting from a property damage accident - Plantations Rd

On December 4, 2011, at approximately 1122 hours, the Lewes Fire Department was dispatched to a Gas Leak. Upon arrival, it was determined that a vehicle had ran off the road through several fences then came to rest on several propane pipes. All valves were shut off to contain the leak until the arrival of Sharp Propane. Units were on scene for approximately an hour and ten minutes until the vehicle was removed from the entanglement of the propane pipes. Units on scene: Command 82, 82-5, R-82, L-82, 82-9, Ambulances A-82 and B-82, DSFP, and DSP.
