Appliance Fire - Inn at Canal Square

Lewes Fire Department was dispatched for an automatic alarm at the Inn at Canal Square. The alarm was upgraded to a structure fire. On arrival Deputy 82 Steve Evans reported that there was smoke showing from the basement of a 3 story structure. 82-5 first arriving apparatus was assigned to hook to a hyrdant and standpipe. Initial crew reported that there was a commercial dryer fire which was extinguished with multiple water cans. Due to the structural design of the building extensive ventilation was required. Units responding Command 82, A-82, engine 82-5, ladder 82, engines 82-3 & 82-2, Rescue 82, ladder 86, engine 86-5, quint 86. 85-3 was assigned to cover up station 1.
