Services for E. James Monihan The Lewes fire Department Inc, regrets the passing of President Emeritus E. James Monihan on Saturday July 18, 2009. E. James Monihan was a 43 year member of the Lewes Fire Department, and a Life member of the Cranston Heights Fire Department. Full Firemen’s services are as follows: Viewing 1600-1900, will be held on Thursday July 23, 2009 at Melson Funeral Home Long Neck Road and John J. Williams Highway. All members are to be in full dress uniform, or proper attire. The Lewes Fire Department will go as a group we will meet at Station 1 at 1730 and be leaving station 1 at 1745. We will go into Melson Funeral Home together at 1845. Lewes Members and Cranston Heights Members wishing to be an Honorary Casket Guard during the viewing contact, Patty Marvel, 302-236-1858. You must already have a full dress uniform to participate. Funeral services will be held at Saint Jude’s Catholic Church, Coastal Highway & Tulip Drive (just north of five pts.). On Friday July 24, 2009 at 1000 Hrs. please be at Station 1 by 0830 in the morning. All members are to be in full dress uniform, or proper attire. Following services for E. James Monihan procession will precede North Coastal Highway to Nassau Road to New Road to Pilottown Road to Savannah Road for Final Alarm at Station 1, then precede on Savannah Road to North Coastal Highway for Interment at Henlopen Memorial Park Coastal Highway. All Departments wishing to participate with the funeral please be at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 0900-0930, for apparatus placement contact, Assistant Chief William Buckaloo, in advance at 302-841-2970 or [email protected]. The family is requesting everyone to join them for food and fellowship following the services at Lewes Fire Department Inc. Station 1 on Savannah Road.
