Lewes Fire Department kicked off the "Build the Boat" campaign on Tuesday May 6th at the Greene Turtle in Lewes. A portion of the days proceeds was donated to the campaign. Kids were treated to fire prevention items, fire truck tours and even rides in the "bucket" of Ladder 82. The special "I helped Build the Boat, Water Rescue Team" t-shirts were available for the first time as well. All who attended had a good time and Lewes Fire Department would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make our kick-off a success. We would also like to thank The Greene Turtle and the entire staff for all their help and support of Lewes Fire Department. The next event will be at Crabby Dicks on Tuesday May 27th from 5pm to 9pm.
