On Saturday August 11, 2012, at approximately 1507 hours, the Lewes Fire Department was dispatched to a MVC on Coastal Highway in the area of Home Depot south bound. Fire Chief Wally Evans responded to the scene in the Chief's vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a two vehicle motor vehicle collision. After checking with all the occupants of both vehicles, it was determined that there were no injuries. The response was reduced to Engine 82-5. All fire apparatus was available by 1521 hours. Fire Police remained on scene assisting DSP until approximately 1554 hours.

 

Units on scene: Chief's Vehicle, Engine 82-5, Ambulances A & C 82, DSFP and DSP. Engine 82-2 was returned prior to arrival.
