On Sunday, February 18, 2018, at approximately 6:40 PM, fire and EMS units from Lewes Fire Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 1 near the Midway theaters.  Three cars were involved in the collision, and while the initial dispatch reported subjects trapped, there was only one minor injury at the scene.  Crews remained on the scene for clean-up operations while the Fire Police kept southbound Route 1 closed and DSP investigated the accident.  Command 82-8, Rescue 82, Engines 82-2 and 82-9, and ambulances D-82 and E-82 were on the scene.
