Today at 1509 the Lewes Fire Department along with the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company and the Milton Fire Department were alerted to a reported building fire in the area of sweetbriar road and pinetown road. Upon arrival, 82-8 found a two story single family residence with fire on sides A and B. Engine 82-5 secured their own water source and stretched a 300 foot rear line to the structure and began suppression efforts. Next arriving units stretched a back line and performed a search. The fire was quickly placed under control and secondary searches were negative.
