At 1202 hrs the Lewes Fire Dept along with station 86 and 85 were dispatched to a house fire on 303 West 4th street. 82-8 with Assistant chief Buckaloo arrived on scene and established command. 82-5 and Ladder 82 arrived and went to work forcing entry and running a line in through side A. Crews found smoke coming from the walls on the first floor and a moderate smoke condition in the basement with a small fire in the floor joists. The fire was quickly extinguished. Units on scene operated for about an hour.
