The Lewes Fire Dept. responded to a report of a appliance fire at 1648 hrs. Upon arrival under the direction of Deputy Chief Gordon Davis, there was a light haze of smoke coming from the apartment. A dryer which had caught fire was located and removed by firefighters on the first responding unit. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear the remaining smoke in the residence.
