Two vehicle MVC sends two to Beebe - Coastal Highway & Cave Neck Road

On Monday December 10, 2012, at approximately 1420 hours, the Lewes Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Coastal Highway and Cave Neck Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that two vehicles were involved with minor injuries. Fire Chief Wally Evans assumed the command. Two patients were transported BLS to Beebe Medical Center. Crew members performed fluid and debris clean up. Fire apparatus was cleared at 1441 hours. Fire Police remained on scene assisting DSP with traffic until 1455 hours. Traffic was completely stopped for a brief time until one lane could be cleared up from debris.

 

Units on scene: Engine 82-5, Rescue 82, Ambulances A & C 82, DSFP, and DSP. Engine 82-9 was returned prior to their arrival.
