Head on collision sends one to local hospital - Lewes-Georgetown Hwy & Nassau Commons Blvd

On Tuesday October 9, 2012, at approximately 1651 hours, the Lewes Fire Department was dispatched for a washdown on Lewes-Georgetown Highway and Nassau Commons Blvd. Shortly after dispatched, EOC upgraded the call to a MVC with one injury. Upon arrival of fire apparatus, it was determined to be a two vehicle MVC with one injury. Fire personnel performed debris and fluid clean up along with vehicle stablization.  One patient was transported BLS to Beebe Medical Center. Fire Police performed traffic control around the scene. All fire apparatus was placed available by 1720 hours. Fire Police remained on scene assisting DSP until 1739 hours.

 

Units on scene:  Command 82, Brush 82-10, Rescue 82, Ambulance C-82 & A93, DSFP and DSP.  Engine 82-9 was returned prior to arrival on scene.
