Final Destination for Life Member Walter A. Reynolds Sr. A.K.A "Capt Walt" - Delaware Bay, Outer Wall Harbor Of Refuge Lighthouse
Sun, Sep 9, 2012

On Sunday September 9, 2012 at approximately 1200 hours Lewes Fire Department 82 Marine 1 took Life Member Walter A. Reynolds Sr. along with family and friends to the Outer Wall Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse for his final destination. Walter A. Reynolds Sr. known as "Capt Walt" passed away on January 29, 2012, and was cremated with the wish to have  his ashes placed by the Outer Wall where he spent so much of his life fishing and enjoying life. 82 Marine 1 with pride drove to the Outer Wall proceeding around the wall allowing family and friends time to reflect upon their cherished memories and enjoy the beauty that "Capt Walt" so enjoyed. Once back to the Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse family gathered for prayer.  Then "Capt Walt's" lighthouse urn containing his ashes was released into the bay by his son Walt Reynolds Jr. As 82 Marine 1 was preparing to return, numerous seagulls started flying around 82 Marine 1. On the journey home small bait fish were seen jumping out of the water and being chased by larger fish giving family and friends the comfort of knowing that "Capt Walt" was home.
