Car versus pole - Beaver Dam Road ITAO Conley Chapel Road

On Tuesday July 17, 2012, at approximately 1516 hours, the Lewes Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Beaver Dam Road ITAO of Conley Chapel Road. While Command 82 was responding with Asst. Chief Walt Reynolds, EOC advised units to use caution in the area due to possible power lines down. Upon arrival of OIC Reynolds, he reported a vehicle into a pole with the pole snapped.  OIC Reynolds requested a priority one response from the power company.  Crews on scene performed vehicle stablization, debris clean up and traffic control. It was also determined that their were no patients. Scene was placed under control and all units were returned at approximately 1537 hours while DSP remained on scene waiting for the power company.

 

Units on scene: Command 82, Ambulances B & D 82, Engine 82-9, DSFP and DSP.  Engine 82-3 and Rescue 82 were returned prior to their arrival on scene.
