At approximately 0607, the Lewes Fire Department and Medic 104 were dispatched to a motor vehcile crash (MVC) on Coastal Highway north bound just south of the Nassau bridge. It was reported to be 2 cars involved with injuries. As units were responding they were notified that Delaware State Police had arrived on scene to report that there were 2 patients with no entrapment. 82-8 staffed by Captain Aiden Gause arrived on scene and operated as the 82 Command. He assigned Rescue 82 and Engine 82-5 to debris clean up with Ambulances C-82, B-82, and Medic 104 providing patient care. 1 patient was transported to Beebe Hospital with minor injuries. 82 command placed the situation under control at 0621. Units responding included 82-8, B-82, C-82, Engine 82-5, Rescue 82, Engine 82-9, Traffic Control 82, and Medic 104.
